Betsy A. Gillaspy

Throughout her career, Betsy has represented a wide array of clients in construction and land development matters. This has included developers, general contractors, subcontractors, product manufacturers in construction disputes, as well as businesses and individual clients in real estate, land use and related transactions. She is well known for her ability to work effectively with clients, claims professionals, and expert witnesses to obtain the best possible results for our clients.

Admitted to practice in Washington and Oregon State and Federal Courts, as well as in Texas, Arkansas, and Utah, Betsy is a frequent speaker at seminars as well as to trade groups, insurance companies, and professional associations. Her presentations address general issues in construction law, contracting issues for small businesses, and distinctions between Washington and Oregon law relating to construction defect claims.

Betsy is the managing partner of Gillaspy Rhode Faddis & Benn's Washington office, and is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, the highest ranking it gives to attorneys. Betsy has been named a Super Lawyer, a designation for the top five percent of lawyers within the state. Seattle Met Magazine also rates Betsy among the Top Women Attorneys in Washington. Additionally, American Registry ranks Betsy as one of the “Top Woman Attorneys” in the state of Washington. She has served on the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates and speaks frequently to insurance and industry groups.
